Why dbz is the best anime ever
I don't watch much anime. Death Note was pretty good. I love DBZ, but come on, it's mindless entertainment. The only time it gets anywhere near depth or decent characterisation is GT, and everyone hates that.
Not the best. Better than some of the recent crap looking at you soul eater. But after that it got a bit repetitive.. Cell is dead? And why would the final monster of an action packed anime be a pink colored bubblegum? Just sad. No other words.
But if you consider raditz-frieza, I'd easily rate it in my top Besides ginyu turning into a frog grr. I don't really like shonen anime, but I enjoyed a few.
DBZ is fun when you're young, the plot is less important than the fighting. Influential and iconic? There are a lot of reasons that make Dragonball great, and Akira Toriyama was definitely an illuminated mind, but reasons to debate others on whether it is the very best or not may bit a bit harder to articulate, and so we wrote this post.
The first thing you need to say is that DBZ was the inspiration behind most of the Shonen anime that we love. Having said that, the Western world was largely in the dark and not knowing what Anime even was before Dragon Ball made it mainstream. Dragon Ball Z was very successful and dubbed or subbed in countless languages, traveling the world and spreading the joy of Anime worldwide. I find the manga far superior and deserving to compete for the title of best manga ever, in it's genre of course.
No sense in comparing it with other types, apples and oranges. Writing wise, probably not. But it's still more entertaining than better written animes. Too many people know what they're talking about around here. No, but it's very entertaining. The biggest truths aren't original.
The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach. Post by sintzu » Fri Aug 26, pm It doesn't make sense to compare it to everything cause there are a lot of different types of anime so we should compare it to its own type: long running weekly Shonen Anime.
Is it the best? Although it's not the best in its category, it's and always will be my favorite anime The Kai version though.
July 9th will be remembered as the day Broly became canon. Post by ABED » Fri Aug 26, pm More or less, but even then it was starting to get boring before the moment you mentioned, especially after they introduced Misa. I don't watch much anime, but I think Yu Yu Hakusho is better.
It's similar in tone, but it was able to milk the story for everything it's worth but left before it overstayed its welcome. Post by Hellspawn28 » Fri Aug 26, pm No way. I still love the franchise, but I like other anime and manga better. For the most part, they come and go with a clear beginning, middle, and resolute ending.
