Live PTR. Classic TBC. Classic Theme Thottbot Theme. Comments Comment by Probably one of the most interesting tabards out there; get it from an AB supply officer once you've reached exalted.
Comment by shadowsonic32 This Tabard is the reward from a defiler's quest. You will need to take the five base in the Arathi Basin. To do this quest you need to be exalted with the defiler.
Comment by Thottbot The tabard is in fact the one that the defilers wear outside the instance entrance in arathi highlands And yes, the quest is completed the instant your team takes completely caps all 5 flags The tabard is really cool :. Comment by Thottbot this is clearly a hunter weapon. Comment by Thottbot any faction that flits around doing backflips deserves to have to wear gay looking tabbards. Comment by Thottbot The tabard can still be acquired through the usual quest line for the horde.
Comment by Thottbot but that is just the minimum rep level needed. It is also the most difficult and the most time consuming PVP tabard to obtain horde side. But most believe it is well worth the investment. You must have Exalted reputation with the Defiler's. You must be level You must complete a chain of 3 quests. Deathmaster Dwire will not issue you the quest without achieving exalted reputation with the Defiler's. Exalted reputation is one of the 3 requirements for this NPC to issue you this quest.
It is only issued to you in the 60 bracket. This is due to the fact that they second requirement for Deathmaster Dwire to issue the final quest is a level requirement.
He will not give you the final quest until you reach level 60 even if you are already exalted with the Defiler's. The last and final requirement aside from reaching exalted and being level 60 is to complete the other 2 quests in this chain before the final quest is issued to you. STEP C: Once you have reached an exalted reputation level regardless of the bracket you chose to play in NOTE: the bracket is the most active for Arathi Basin and it is highly recommended that you obtain this feat in this bracket then level through to meet the other requirements and have reached level 60 you will need to fulfill one last requirement before Deathmaster Dwire will issue you the quest for obtaining the Battle Tabard of the Defiler's.
The last and final requirement is that you have previously at some point completed the 2 quests which are prerequisites for this 3rd and final quest in this series. With the final step including the reward which is the Battle Tabard of the Defiler's. The 3 quests are listed below in more detail. It called "The Battle for Arathi Basin! You have to actually assault the flag yourself in order to get the credit for it in the quest.
This means that you will need to be the member of your team who actually clicks the flag and assaults it for the horde in order for the quest to recognize and credit you for it. You do not have to capture the flag just assault it. The difference between assaulting and capturing is: Assaulting a flag means you click it and put it into transition for horde to control it to gain resources whereas capturing the flag means that it was assaulted at some point by a member of your team and now belongs to the horde and is producing resources for the horde.
An easy way to distinguish the difference is an assaulted flag is gray and has a neutral banner displayed upon it whereas a captured flag is red and has the horde banner displayed upon it. You do not have to assault the required flags in 1 game.
They can be spread out over multiple games, as many as required for you to complete the objectives. Once it is complete you can turn it into Deathmaster Dwire and you will receive xp and 1g32s. Quest 2: Can be obtained at friendly reputation with the Defiler's and is given out by Deathmaster Dwire.
It ticks every resources you reach. Can I get more reputation when farming AB than this? If you're in a guild with Mr. Does it matter whether you win or lose the BG? Regarding reputation gains. No, the only thing that matters is whether you reach the required resources or not. Reaching , etc or during CtA reaching , etc. Of course you'll get more honor for winning. How does this work if you have both Mr.
They should be stacking and you should be getting 12 reputation per tick. Not quite sure about the exact number if they are both based on the base amount of rep or if they are based on eachother. Are there any quests you can get extra reputation from? Yes there are three quests. These are the same quests that have been in the game since Vanilla though, so you might have done them even though you might not remember it. And no, Blizzard has no plans what so ever to change this reputation system.
The only fact we can rely on is that RNGesus plays a very little role in this reputation grind Updates as of 4. Up by resources. Up by 60 resources. This is in my opinion outrageous and I'm hoping it gets reverted.
Comment by pyrannor Here is the most up to date information regarding the quest Take Five Bases and the Battle Tabard of the Defilers. Overall that's Wins - during Call to Arms - with Mr. Awards reputation - with Mr. Take Four Bases. Take Five Bases. Awards reputation as well as the Battle Tabard of the Defilers. Once exalted, the tabard can be purchased from Rutherford Twing in Arathi Highlands for Honor points.
Also, you're one step closer to The Conqueror. Comment by Laglace I believe everything is different now, I don't think you need to do quest considering there is a tabard vendor selling this for honor, and you need reputation.
Therefore I think required level should be changed. Comment by dando as of patch day 5. Comment by Wildwindsi No longer obtainable according to Gm. Comment by greednut got exalted a few days ago. Comment by Muzzafar Caught exalted this month with The Defilers , but when I went to pick up the quest she is not available. GM said on ticket, that a bug is happening with the npc Deathmaster Dwire and he does not give the quest, are trying to solve the problem.
Sorry for my bad english, is not my main language. Comment by greednut good news everyone. Comment by greednut Great News everyone. Comment by RandomNoobs As of 5.
Still requires exalted to purchase and wear but no longer need the quest to receive the tabard. Comment by Rutto Apparently, at the moment it is obtainable through honor points from Rutherford Twing , still requires exalted. Comment by Moriat Experiment. The answer: 14 Days. The queue times for an arathi basin battleground range from instant to 5 minutes. The bracket population is gigantic due the fact that WoW is free to play up to level A geared level 24 twink can make quite the difference in a bracket populated mostly by free to play level 20s.
Both factions tend to keep 2 bases all game long due the fact that only the slowest mount speed is available at this level. The bracket is pretty balanced besides hunters and the absence of extensive crowd control effects again besides hunters is great. The only 2 items that you need besides gear would be the Battle Standard of Coordination for the extra rep gain and eventually the Horde Battle Standard for the extra health.
Closing words: I've quite enjoyed farming the tabard for a second time. I can't really judge how long it would take to farm this particular reputation at max level due the fact that I haven't really played max level in ages but I'm just gonna assume that it would take much longer than 2 weeks.
Comment by The quest for the Tabard is no longer available. However, the Tabard is available via Rutherford Twing in Hammerfall for honor.
Exalted status with the Defilers is required to make the purchase. I'm pretty happy to see this as I've been exalted for over a year and was rather irate when I learned the quest was removed. Good save Blizz, good save. Comment by Not a quest reward anymore. You just have to be exalted and can buy it with honor for around from the AB quartermaster. Comment by greednut greetings buddies. Comment by GDerkon As 7. Comment by sandreid87 Is this tabard Account-Wide? Comment by DocFunkenstein I had a few questions about this tabard that I couldn't seem to find the answers to. I was hoping you fine people could help me out a bit. Once you earn the tabard, is it account-bound?
Meaning, can any character you create use it as part of a transmog set, or is it only available to the character who earned it? If the former is "yes," is it cross-faction?
Would I be able to use the Defiler's tabard on my Horde characters and the Arathor's sp? If the former is "no," what happens if I transfer the character who earned the tabard to the other faction? Thank you in advance! I have an old Alliance character that I mained during vanilla and BC, and he's only about battles away from being able to obtain the tabard.
Unfortunately, he's on a realm I no longer play on, and my friends and I only play Horde now. I'd really hate to waste the time earning it only to find out the answers to these questions the hard way. Comment by Bakal Is it at all possible for a Horde character to wear the Alliance version of the Tabard? I'm going for a golden Paladin on my Blood Elf. Comment by Volitar With the changes to reputation unlocks in 8.
