Sheldon just seems to put Howard down at every available opportunity, and that trend begins from the very first episode of the series. Whether or not Howard deserves it is a different matter altogether. For most of us, the answer would be a resounding no. Beyond that, it seems as if there are rules for those living outside of his space, too, which includes rules about which food can be eaten on specific days.

A few years ago, I was waiting in a line and a college-age girl ahead of me said, "I like your T-shirt. It's from Napoleon Dynamite. For example, I'm arrogant and quite sure of myself, because for me, nothing is impossible, just difficult or improbable.

I find that I am indeed picky with my food. I always alternate between cereal [Honey Bunches of Oats] and a fried egg sandwich for breakfast. I don't like it when the ratio between cereal and milk is out of balance, and I don't like it when my mom cooks the egg because she can't fry it exactly the way I want it. For a time I was put out about my egg sandwich because we switched to whole wheat white bread, which required me to add more butter to the bread.

I'm pretty bad at keeping my things organized, but when I do organize, everything has a folder, from my school archives to the files in my flash drives [in which you can find literally hundreds of folders under folders]. I believe I'm going to end up dressing like Sheldon [with the exception that I always wear jeans] because I was recently given a messenger bag that I actually squealed about I am somewhat socially inept, in the sense that I have difficulty dealing with people [normal people, especially, since all the kids in my school are super-intelligent as well as crazy, so I am learning no social skills here in high-school Oh yes, I also have Asperger's Syndrome [at least, by self-diagnosis], and people think I'm crazy.

Well, I'm also self-proclaimed crazy. Oh, there's the difference! That's so cute, PianoWizzy! The good thing about being in a super-smart school is that you are not being beaten up like Sheldon and Leonard were. I was just like Sheldon as a child!

My mother, IQ of , couldn't take it so she took me out of a private school and put me in a middle class public school so I could interact with normal people. She constantly hit me in the head when I became obsessive, compulsive, play with my food like separating it so nothing touched. She would throw out my clothes she saw me in too many times. By the time I was 10, I was a normal, popular, happy go lucky kid who could accept and laugh with the rest of the world.

I still am today. Except for the fact when I see a shirt I like at the store, I'll buy six of them and wear them till they. Smartbutslow, it sounds like your mom was the one with the problem. Sometimes parents get really worried about their kids and do dumb stuff. I hope you and she are getting along fine now. Maybe that's what Monk's assistants should have done to him. Yeah, thank goodness for that. During my years in a normal, public school, I was never beaten up, but being very gullible, I had a lot of verbal abuse.

Having Asperger's Syndrome my wife can take things very literally. I think I need to carry a sarcasm sign. She is also good with math and science and very logical. I know a guy who's like Sheldon in the sense that he always cuts conversations short and walks off to do what he wants to do. Unfortunately the person I'm speaking of is not a good person like Sheldon is Well, the reason that I started watching The Big Bang Theory is because my friend recommended it to me on the basis that I was like Sheldon.

I suppose it was due to performance in school and my IQ, mainly, however there are other factors:. Nevertheless, I'm certainly not domineering like Sheldon is. I also know the periodic table, again just from exposure to it. Apparently, I'm near to having Asperger's Syndrome on the scale, at least. I'm not too sure if I do, however. The salaries and career histories of real-life people like Stephen Wolfram and Nassim Nicholas Taleb , both quite interesting and unusual characters, might make an interesting point of comparison.
