Can i delete dccache sims 3




















View in thread. It's not the back up, its the DCCache. I read a response you gave to someone saying that it was safe to delete chache files.

So I was deleting the standard 4 being CasPart cache, compositive cache, script cache, simcompositive cache. But with your response, thought DCCache was fine to.

I have since read a description for everything under Sims3 and know that I can't delete that particular one. But I've turned this experience into a positive and have taken a few days to organize my downloads.

Usually the Launcher keeps adding to a bundle, the first one would be numbered dcdb0. Then it starts new ones, which would be numbered dcdb1. If you remove one bundle, you will be taking all of the CC out of your game that got installed into it.

There is a way to examine each bundle, if you have more than one, and I think remove items individually using S3OC, but I've never done that. Seem to recall there is a downside reported to managing the dbcs that way, but I can't recall what it is. Not sure about breaking anything, but if sims were in the process of using items in a prior save that get pulled out on them this way, they could be left doing something that is impossible and may be reset or need to be reset if ErrorTrap doesn't catch them first.

I never keep anything in DCBackup at all except for the one required ccmerged. But only if you have pulled the dbc file in particular in which those sims data live.
